Your own knowledge base

Guides, solutions and lessons you can return to. Connect related documents with wiki links.

Important documents

A contract, receipt or manual where you expect it. Attach the file, add a note and set a task with a due date.

// from idea to project

Capture a thought. Give it context.

Getting started: a practical guide in Czech →

capture in DashNote → send to DashBase Inbox → develop in a project

VaultOff: encrypted packages between devices

Keep encrypted VaultOff backups and synchronization packages in a dedicated DashBase archive. Carry them to another device through iCloud and hand them back to VaultOff. DashBase cannot read or edit their contents; unlocking and restoration happen in VaultOff. This connection is optional.

// what I stand for

Your data. Your files. Full stop.

no subscription

Buy the Mac app once. The iPhone and iPad version is free.

no accounts

No extra service to sign up for. Sync uses your own iCloud account.

no AI

DashBase uses no AI, and the developer collects no data from the app.

readable Markdown

Document text uses Markdown. Export projects together with their attachments.

offline first

Works on a train, in a forest, on a plane. No signal needed.

export anywhere

Export a document as PDF, or a whole project on Mac as Markdown files and attachments.

// what it does

Turn your reference material into useful work.

Live Markdown

Write on Mac and see a formatted document. Syntax hides outside the active line.

[[Wiki links]]

Link a guide to the project that uses it. Links and backlinks keep your knowledge in context.

Tasks & Timeline

Keep reference material and next steps together. Due dates, unfinished tasks and the timeline show what comes next.

Inbox and sharing

Share text, a link, a photo or a file into DashBase on iPhone or iPad. When you open the app, it waits in Inbox for sorting.

Reminders

Give a task a due date. A local reminder arrives that morning, even without a connection.

⌘O & search

Jump to any document without a mouse. Searches titles and content across projects.

// why I built DashBase

Less searching. More time for your work.

“My documents used to be everywhere: some at work, some at home, some on my phone and USB drives. I kept searching for where I had saved things. Now I develop projects and build knowledge bases in DashBase. I know where to put things and where to find them again.”

// how to start

Which path is yours?

📱 iPhone and iPad, free

Start directly in DashBase. Read documents, add quick notes and photos, manage tasks and save content through sharing. On iPad, see projects, documents and the reader side by side.

💻 Mac for focused work

Develop projects and knowledge in the live Markdown editor. Drag in supporting files, switch documents with ⌘O and export a whole project to a folder. The mobile companion stays in sync through iCloud.

DashBase for Mac →

DashBase works on its own. DashNote and VaultOff are optional connections. Use the same iCloud account to sync your devices.
